Now that you have to have a reservation to each Disney park ahead of time and can’t park hop until 2pm, we’ve got to strategically plan out our parks to get the most of our trip! We’re really hoping the 2pm gets lifted soon but it doesn’t look like it will in time for our upcoming Honeymoon trip. So for now, Here is where we are starting at each day of our Disneymoon.
We will arrive on a Tuesday at the Polynesian Resort around 10am and drop our bags at bell services since we can’t check in until 3pm. Then we’ll hop on the monorail and go to none other than MAGIC KINGDOM for our first Disney park of the trip. There’s just something about walking right into the park and heading down Main Street looking at Cinderella’s Castle.
We like to choose the first full day of our trip to go to Universal so we can spend the rest of our time at Disney World! We are only doing Island’s of Adventure this trip because VelociCoaster will be open, Jurassic Park River Adventure and Revenge of the Mummy will be open, which were both closed during our trip in 2021, and because we want to ride Hagrid’s a million times over!
Now that we’re back at Disney, it’s onto Hollywood Studios! We will most likely spend the entire day here, MAYBE park hop to Animal Kingdom depending on how we feel. We have a reservation at Ohana at our resort this night so we will want to be back to the resort to clean up and get ready for dinner.
This day will be a full day of Epcot! Because who doesn’t love a good Mexico Margarita and a little Via Napoli for lunch? Also super pumped for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! We have a dinner reservation at Tutto Italia at the perfect time to finish and grab a spot for Harmonious. We’ll be there during Festival of the Arts again so doing the Expression Section Paint-by-Number mural is definitely a must!
Back to Magic Kingdom! We’ll do our favorite rides, eat our favorite snacks and end up park hopping to Animal Kingdom this day. We decided not to do any day starting at Animal since you can’t hop until 2. With Expedition Everest closed for refurbishments, it really only leaves Pandora for the things we love to do there and I just don’t think we could spend 6 hours in Pandora. So we will hop from Magic to Animal at 2 and spend it there until park close, which is usually the earliest of all the parks. Our last trip, they were closing it at 5pm so we couldn’t see Pandora in the dark with all the lights, so that’s our #1 hope for Animal Kingdom this time around is that it doesn’t close before dark!
With Hollywood Studios being our favorite park, we are starting here on our last two days. We will use our park hopping to go to Magic Kingdom to see the castle and get a cinnamon roll from Gaston’s one last time! On our last trip, our final day was spent riding our favorite rides at each park and we plan to do the same thing this time around. We’ll start at Hollywood and hit Tower of Terror, Rockin’ Roller Coaster, Slinky Dog Dash, and grab some Blue Milk! Then off to Magic at 2 and ride Splash Mountain & Big Thunder Mountain, and if there’s time, dash back to Animal Kingdom to ride Flight of Passage one more time!
